"Social Exclusion & Social Responses"
How do children think about inclusion and exclusion? Are children more likely to befriend a new peer if others are excluding that peer?
|
Children are constantly observing and taking in new information from their environment. In this study, we are interested in how children come to learn about their peers within the context of exclusion (such as friends who don't get invited to play), and how this impacts children's decision making strategies about friendship.

"Thoughts & Actions in Early Childhood"
How does child development change across contexts?

In this 5-year study, we are interested in how children's thinking about friendships changes over the preschool years, with a focus on the impact of community support for their development. The goal of this study is to identify which aspects of child development are more impacted by environmental support, and how we can nurture stronger development overall.
